Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Theo. By signing in, creating an account, connecting a Google account, or using Theo, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Theo
Theo is a finance-ops service that helps users find SaaS bills in Gmail, store bill artifacts, review spend, and export selected bills to Google Drive or a local download.
3. Google account access
You choose whether to connect your Google account. When you connect Google, Theo asks for limited permissions needed to provide the service, including read-only Gmail access and the ability to create or manage Drive files that Theo creates. You can revoke Theo's Google access at any time from your Google Account permissions.
4. Your responsibilities
- You must provide accurate account information.
- You must control or be authorized to use any Google account you connect.
- You must use Theo only for lawful business or personal finance purposes.
- You are responsible for reviewing exported bills and finance records for accuracy.
- You must not misuse Theo, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service, or use Theo to process data you do not have the right to process.
5. Workspaces and teams
Theo may allow you to create or join workspaces. Workspace owners and admins may manage members, invites, join requests, workspace settings, and workspace deletion. Team members may have access to workspace information according to their role.
6. Bill data and exports
Theo attempts to identify SaaS bills and related metadata, but automated classification and extraction may be incomplete or inaccurate. You remain responsible for verifying bills, spend analytics, exports, accounting records, tax records, and business decisions.
7. Privacy and security
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information, including Google user data. You agree that Theo may process data as described in the Privacy Policy to provide and secure the service.
8. Support and feedback
If you submit support requests, feedback, bug reports, feature ideas, or other suggestions, you allow Theo to use them to support, maintain, and improve the service without obligation to you.
9. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Theo. We try to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Account suspension and termination
You may stop using Theo or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for Theo or others, or if required by law.
11. Third-party services
Theo depends on third-party services, including Google APIs and cloud infrastructure providers. Your use of Google services remains subject to Google's terms and policies. Theo is not responsible for third-party service outages, changes, or account decisions.
12. Disclaimers
Theo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. Theo does not provide accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Theo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption. Theo's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Theo for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100 if you have not paid Theo.
14. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Theo from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, or processing of data you were not authorized to process.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law rules, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka will have jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires another forum.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice in the app or by email where required. Continued use of Theo after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
